The problem with kratom alone
Kratom extract at a light-to-moderate mitragynine dose (roughly 10–25 mg) is where most people find it most useful: smooth, a little lift, a little calm, sociable. The trouble starts when someone wants "more" and the only lever is more mitragynine. Past a point, extra mitragynine tends to add the things people don't want, such as queasiness, a wired or jittery edge, and a sharper drop at the end, faster than it adds fullness. What 13-OH corydalis brings
Corydalis yanhusuo is a plant in the poppy family, unrelated to kratom, with a long history of use in its own right. Its rhizome contains a set of isoquinoline alkaloids; the 13-OH-characterized extract Dialed uses is produced by Corydalis Labs and standardized so 13-OH is resolved from tetrahydropalmatine (THP) by HPLC. In a blend with kratom extract, what we observe and what early customers report is a change in the shape of the experience rather than its raw intensity:
- Fuller at the same mitragynine dose. A 20 mg mitragynine tablet with corydalis reads as more complete than a 20 mg kratom-only tablet.
- Reduced sensory harshness. Less of the edge and queasiness that come with pushing kratom dose.
- Rounder tail. A more gradual finish rather than a cliff.
The practical consequence: the tablet can stay at a moderate mitragynine number, which keeps it comfortable, keeps tolerance pressure lower than a high-dose product, and keeps it well under the federal 7-OH line.
The ratio: 20 mg mitragynine to 30 mg corydalis extract

What the pairing isn't
- It isn't a 7-OH substitute in the chemical sense. 13-OH is a different molecule from a different plant. Dialed is a 7-OH alternative in the sense of "a compliant product for people who used to buy 7-OH," not because corydalis mimics 7-OH.
- It isn't a potency hack. The goal was a better-shaped moderate serving, not a stronger one.

Testing a two-botanical tablet

Sourcing and consistency
A blend is only as consistent as its least consistent ingredient, and botanical extracts vary lot to lot. We source the corydalis component from a single supplier, Corydalis Labs, whose extract is characterized for 13-OH content and shipped with its own certificate. Each incoming lot is checked against the specification before it's blended, and the finished tablet is then assayed again, so the 30 mg figure on the pack is verified twice: once on the raw extract, once on the finished product. The same applies to the kratom extract, which is standardized to mitragynine before blending and re-tested after compression. It's more testing than a single-ingredient tablet needs, and it's the cost of making a two-botanical formula that behaves the same way in March as it does in September.
