Why we started
When the DEA’s temporary scheduling of concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine took effect on August 5, 2026, a whole shelf disappeared from Florida smoke shops overnight. The people who used those products didn’t disappear with them. They went looking for something that was convenient, consistent and legal, and mostly they found kratom powder that tastes like dirt, capsules by the dozen, and a wave of “alternatives” with no lab reports and vague ingredient lists.
We thought the category deserved better. Not a product that pretends to be 7-OH, but one that’s honest about being a compliant kratom extract tablet and then executes that idea as well as it can be executed. That meant a standardized mitragynine dose, a scored tablet, a flavor people actually like, a certificate of analysis for every lot, and one more thing nobody else was doing.
The corydalis idea
The one more thing is 13-OH Corydalis yanhusuo extract. We were introduced to the ingredient by Corydalis Labs, who had done the work of standardizing corydalis for 13-OH (a distinct compound from the better-known THP, separated by HPLC) and had a clear formulation thesis: in a blend, it lets you use less mitragynine while the product feels fuller, with less of the sensory harshness that comes with strong extracts. We tested it, our early testers noticed the difference immediately, and it became the center of the formula. Each Tempo tablet carries a 250 mg kratom alkaloid blend (1000 mg per 4ct pack): 20 mg of mitragynine and 30 mg of 13-OH corydalis extract of the 250 mg blend. Corydalis isn’t a kratom alkaloid and isn’t scheduled, and it’s why we never have to push toward the 7-OH line to make the tablet feel complete.
How we make it
Full-spectrum kratom leaf extract and corydalis extract arrive at our cGMP co-packer in Saint Petersburg with supplier COAs. Each raw material is identity-tested before it’s released to production. The actives are blended with a short, disclosed excipient list, compressed into cross-scored 1000 mg tablets carrying 250 mg of the blend, and packed into single sachets and 4ct blisters. A sample from each lot goes to an independent ISO/IEC 17025 lab for a seven-panel test (mitragynine, 7-OH, corydalis, heavy metals, microbials, pesticides, residual solvents), and the certificate is published at /coas before the lot ships. Two SKUs, on purpose
We sell a 1ct sachet ($7.99) and a 4ct blister ($24.99), each in Mixed Berry Blast, Blue Razz Slush and Strawberry Dream. That’s it. A short line means every lot gets our full attention, every shop can stock the whole range on one counter card, and every customer knows exactly what they’re buying. We’ll expand when we’ve earned it.
Where we’re going
Tempo launches through independent Florida smoke shops, kava bars and distributors first, because that’s where the 7-OH shelf was and because it’s where we live.
